Freycinet National Park (approx 1 hour away) – One of Tasmania's best trips. With the panoramic Hazards, a group of granite mountains, watching over this scenic area, it is well worth a day trip. The walk into magnificent Wineglass Bay from the car park takes half an hour to the lookout or 1 hour to the bay. Alternatively a 4-½ hour round trip via Hazards Beach can be taken. Scenic flights, boat trips and kayaking are also available activities in Tasmania.

Bicheno (approx 35 minutes north from Swansea) - See the Gulch, Blowhole, and enjoy the beaches, as well as the Sea Life Centre and the East Coast Bird Life & Animal Park. Explore the Douglas Apsley National Park in your walks through Tasmania and take time to experience the Apsley Gorge.

No trip to the East Coast of Tasmania is complete without a visit to Kate's Berry Farm, just outside Swansea. One of Tasmania's little treasures, Kate's Berry Farm with panoramic views of Great Oyster Bay produces outstanding fresh berries, jams, sauces and delicious ice cream. The coffee is good too!

There are also a number of vineyards within 25kms including Coombend, Craigie Knowe, Freycinet and Springvale.
